History

INDUSTRIAS METALICAS JB was founded in Bogotá in the year of 1981 due to the needs of cars assemblers for integrated, complex and specialized mechanical systems, manufactured locally to replace imported parts.

Cars assemblers like SOCIEDAD DE FABRICANTES DE AUTOMOVILES S.A. SOFASA "RENAULT", COMPAÑÍA COLOMBIANA AUTOMOTRIZ CCA "MAZDA" and GENERAL MOTORS COLMOTORES GMC "CHEVROLET" decided to promote the company and the development of our products with technical assistance and modern equipment to achieve the quality levels demanded by their parent companies.

Today IMJB produces a wide range of products for the automobile and other industries, as parts and electrical installations, being his main line the slides for car seats. Our products not only supply the domestic market, but abroad where also enjoy of great prestige.
